Senior Expo draws large crowds, awards cash to nonprofits
TRAVERSE CITY — More than 100 exhibits lined the Grand Traverse County Civic Center for the annual Ideas for Life Senior Expo, last Wednesday. Vendors offered information on health services, housing placement, medical alert systems, assisted living, home improvement and much more.
"The expo is designed for seniors who want to celebrate their lives," said event organizer and owner of the Alliance for Senior Housing Connie Hintsala. "It’s meant for them to find resources and for us to educate them on what’s out there, whether that’s medical equipment or just housekeeping."
