Subject: State of the State

The Associated Press ran a story this morning that highlights a few of the initiatives the governor plans on covering in his speech. See the article below for more detail. One of his big announcements is to merge the Department of Community Health and the Department of Human Services into one larger department – the Department of Health & Human Services. The governor wants to reorganize government to be more “people-centric, not program centric.”

While the governor will be announcing this change this evening, all of the details have yet to be worked out. I will most certainly keep you posted on how this will impact OSA and aging-related programs and services. But it’s a great opportunity to focus on
