I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from the Grand Rapids area. Her name is Carol Bruger and she is moving to the area (Aspen Hills) on Monday, August 3 to take care of her 93 year old father, Robert Bruger who lives at Hope Village. Carol is disabled but does have help loading the contents of her small apartment into a uhaul that her friend will be driving up and Carol will be following her in her car. She just needs help unloading the uhaul when she arrives but doesn’t have any $ to pay anyone. She lives in a very small apartment and doesn’t have much. Carol will be arriving in TC around 2:30. I’m hoping we can line up 4-5 people to meet her at Aspen Hills after work and help unload the items she can’t from the u-haul. She and her friend can handle most of the boxes. The larger items she needs help with are: bed (frame, mattress & box springs), couch, small dresser, chair and two small shelving units. She will have a flat bed and a dolly provided by Aspen Hills, she’s on the 4th floor, but right next to the elevator. They say – many hands make light work? Unfortunately, I will be out of town on Monday and unable to coordinate this – but am hopeful enough of our BASA Angels will be available to get this done.

Who among you is able and willing to help this lady in need? Monday, August 3rd 5 pm Aspen Hills apartments. (Garfield south of Cherryland Mall) If you have friends or others in mind that could help please let me know. I truly don’t think it will take long the way the lady has described her need.
