certified Nurse Assistant Program (CNA Training)

There is still room in the fall CNA prep program through NMC Extended Education– Sept. 24–Nov. 16. The training prepares you to sit for the State of Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Test to receive a Certified Nurse Assistant endorsement. The 128-hour training consists of classroom, lab, 8 hours of dementia training, CPR training, and 32 hours of clinical placement. It’s held in the nursing labs on the NMC campus – great learning space!

The program is offered in an evening and weekend format over 8 weeks allowing you to coordinate with work. Classes are Mon. and Wed. evenings and Saturdays for 6 weeks for classroom and lab skills. The last two weeks are clinicals completed in two Saturday and Sunday shifts at the Pavillions.
